Terms of Use.
Last updated October 24, 2026
The short version
- Apple’s standard license applies. These terms add what is particular to TheoMaps.
- What is free stays free. The gospel will never be behind a paywall.
- TheoMaps Plus goes through the App Store. A subscription renews until you cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Your notes are yours. We never see them.
The agreement
These terms are between you and TheoMaps (“we” and “us”), a business run by Alfred Reyes in Florida, United States. They cover the TheoMaps app for iPhone and this website. By using either, you agree to them.
The app is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add what is particular to TheoMaps. Where the two differ about the app, Apple’s agreement governs. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and why.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, please read these terms with a parent or guardian, who agrees to them for you.
What is free
Downloading TheoMaps is free, and so is everything in the free layer: the whole map of all 66 books and 1,189 chapters, the reader, the Gospel with the Romans Road, the testaments, categories and seven acts with their Outlines, all of Genesis with everything in it, and one Step Inside from another book each week. What is free stays free. The gospel will never be behind a paywall.
Plans and the free trial
TheoMaps Plus opens everything beyond the free layer. Every plan opens the same things:
- Monthly, $5.99 a month, for one person.
- Yearly, $39.99 a year, for one person, which starts with two weeks free.
- Lifetime, $79.99, paid once, for one person.
- Plus Family yearly, $64.99 a year, for up to six people, which starts with two weeks free.
- Plus Family lifetime, $129.99, paid once, for up to six people.
For the first 30 days after TheoMaps reaches the App Store, Lifetime is $59.99 and Plus Family lifetime is $94.99. Prices are in US dollars. The App Store shows the price in your country and currency, with any tax, and the app shows each plan’s price and terms before you buy. Plans open when TheoMaps reaches the App Store.
How subscriptions work
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically, for the same length and price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings on your iPhone: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it. When you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for.
- The two free weeks on Yearly and Plus Family yearly are an introductory offer, one per Apple Account. When they end, the trial becomes a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. If you buy a subscription during the trial, the rest of the trial ends.
- You can switch between Monthly, Yearly and Plus Family yearly in the same place, and Apple adjusts the price for the time left.
Offer codes
We may give churches and others codes for a free month of TheoMaps Plus on the monthly plan. When the month ends, it renews at $5.99 a month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Apple shows these terms when you redeem a code.
Lifetime
Lifetime and Plus Family lifetime are single purchases, not subscriptions. They never renew, and they include everything we add to TheoMaps later. Apple has no upgrades for one-time purchases, so moving from Lifetime to Plus Family lifetime means buying it at its full price.
Family Sharing
The two Plus Family plans work with Apple’s Family Sharing, for up to six people in one family group. The family organizer turns on purchase sharing in Family Sharing, and everyone in the family has TheoMaps Plus. Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime are for the person who buys them and are not shared.
Restores, refunds and prices
If you get a new iPhone or reinstall TheoMaps, use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple Account, and your plan comes back.
Apple handles every payment, so refunds are Apple’s to give. You can ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If we ever change a subscription’s price, Apple tells you before it applies and, where the law requires, asks you to agree first. A price change never touches a Lifetime purchase you have already made.
Using TheoMaps
You may use TheoMaps for your own study and to teach others, at home, in a small group or in a church. Please do not copy, sell or republish the app’s maps, summaries, notes, scenes or artwork, use them to build another product, or try to take the app apart, get around its plans or disrupt it or this website.
Content and your notes
Scripture in TheoMaps is the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain. Everything else in the app, including its maps, outlines, summaries, notes, lines, scenes and artwork, belongs to TheoMaps and is protected by copyright.
What you write in TheoMaps belongs to you. It stays on your iPhone and in your iCloud, and we never see it.
If you send us ideas or corrections, thank you. We may use them to improve TheoMaps without owing you anything for them.
A study aid
TheoMaps is made to help you read the Bible in its context. Its outlines, summaries and notes are our careful work, but they are not Scripture, and they are not a substitute for reading it yourself, for your church or for pastoral care. Where Christians have read a passage in different ways, we try to say so.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for TheoMaps or its content, and has no duty to support or maintain it: we do. Questions and claims about the app come to us. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of Apple’s license agreement and may enforce it. Your use of the App Store follows Apple’s own terms.
Disclaimers and limits
We work to keep TheoMaps accurate, available and free of errors, but we provide the app and this website as they are, without promises beyond the ones in these terms and the ones the law gives you. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses from using them, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for TheoMaps in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law where you live gives you and does not allow a business to remove.
Ending and changes
You can stop using TheoMaps at any time by deleting it, and cancel any subscription as described above. We may end access for anyone who misuses the app or this website, or breaks these terms.
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If a change matters to your plan, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using TheoMaps after a change means you accept it.
Law and disputes
The laws of the State of Florida and of the United States govern these terms, without regard to rules on conflicts of law. If something goes wrong, please write to support@theomaps.com first, and we will try to put it right within 30 days.
A dispute we cannot settle that way goes to the state or federal courts in Florida. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts, or under your own country’s consumer law, you keep that right.
